True QLD Traffic Lights

Traffic Lights® is a globally recognised program and framework for professionals to recognise sexual behaviours in children and young people. The program provides professionals with a framework that is age and developmentally appropriate, positive, and protective. Traffic Lights® uses the categories of green, orange and red light to help adults identify, understand, and respond to children and young people’s sexual behaviours, to support healthy sexual development and can help protect children and young people from harm or abuse.

Control Freak: Youth Respectful Relationships Education Program

A free theatre incursion for Years 9 to 12 about controlling behaviours and relationship violence.
After the short theatre performance of ‘Control Freak’, the Youth Choices team facilitate discussions about coercive control and utilise the participatory approach of internationally-recognised Forum Theatre to allow students to act out scenarios from the play to develop solutions in a safe environment. 
Running Time: 90 minutes including student interactive participation
