The Australian Medical Association of Western Australia (AMA WA) Dr Yes project sends specially trained volunteer medical students into high schools to have frank, open discussions on topics concerning youth health including sexual health. Enquiries can be made through dryes@amawa.com.au

eSafeKids educates, equips and empowers children and young people to have safe and positive experiences. eSafeKids support and inspire parents, carers, educators and other professionals to talk with children about Protective Behaviours, body safety, esafety, digital wellness and pornography. Services include: professional development, parent/carer and student workshops. Resources to teach: protective behaviours, body safety, consent, media literacy, digital wellness, cyber safety, pornography and more.

GAIN is a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers who provide women with the opportunity, knowledge, confidence and support to obtain optimal gynaecological and sexual health.

Hepatitis Western Australia (HepWA)

Hepatitis WA is a community based organisation which provides free services to support people affected by hepatitis A, B and C. They aim to reduce discrimination and stigma directed at people living with viral hepatitis and raise community awareness. The provide guest speakers, education workshops and community stalls.

Inclusive Education WA (IEWA)

NB: Funding for Inclusive Education WA (IEWA) ceased in October 2020. IEWA previously provided professional development and support for WA schools and staff who wanted to ensure that their schools environment were safe and inclusive for everyone, including for same sex attracted, intersex and gender diverse (SSAIGD) students, staff and families. Living Proud is a non-profit organisation that provides support, information and resources to the WA lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, other sex, sexuality and gender diverse community. Services include: peer counselling, telephone counselling, professional development and lived experience forums.

Multicultural Communities Council of WA (MCCWA)

MCCWA supports and advocates disadvantaged individuals from CaLD backgrounds to realise their potential as active contributors to the economic, social and cultural life of WA. Their youth program includes a 'youth conversation circle' which provides opportunity for newly arrived migrants to practice their communication skills in a health, wellbeing (including sexual health) and relationships context.

PFLAG-WA is an organisation that supports the parents, family members and friends of loved ones who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or intersex. They offer peer support through their phone line and support group meetings.

Department of Education - Drug Education and Road Aware Branch (Previously SDERA) empowers school based staff, parents and community agencies, through professional learning services and support resources, to develop effective drug and road safety education programs within schools and communities.

Sexual Assault Resource Centre (SARC)

Sexual Assault Resource Centre (SARC) is a free 24-hour 7 days a week emergency service that offers assistance and support to any person aged 13 years and over who has experienced any form of unwanted sexual contact or behaviour in the previous 2 weeks. A free counselling service is also available (during business hours) to people who have experienced sexual assault or sexual abuse in the past (more than 2 weeks ago).

Sexual Health and Blood-borne Virus Program

The WA Department of Health - Sexual Health and Blood-borne Virus Program (SHBBVP) provides sexual health information and resources for the community, health professionals and educators. Funds service providers to deliver free and low cost education sessions, professional development, clinical appointments, testing and treatment. All SHBBVP hardcopy resources (posters, pamphlets, etc) can be bulk ordered for free in WA by setting up a free account at doh.getquickmail.com. Email shbbvp@health.wa.gov.au for individual copies.

Sexual Health Quarters (SHQ) provides a comprehensive range of clinical, counselling, educational and training activities around sexual and reproductive health. Services include: STI testing, unplanned pregnancy counselling, contraception counselling, professional development, education sessions. SHQ can partner with your school to deliver RSE sessions on: respectful relationships, diversity in sex, gender and sexual identity, bodies and reproductive systems, safer sex and STIs, contraception, unintended pregnancy, sexting and porn, and more.
