Constable Care Foundation

Constable Care Foundation is a not-for-profit youth safety education provider. Utilising Theatre in Education and the participatory approach of internationally recognised Forum Theatre, our programs raise awareness, influence attitudes and deliver real behaviour change, making a significant difference to the lives of children and young people across Western Australia.

Youth Choices is the Foundation's Theatre in Education program for secondary students.

Services include:
Free school incursions for primary and secondary students

  • Harm-prevention performances for children and young people using puppetry for lower primary, and interactive theatre or film for upper primary and secondary students. 
  • Primary School topics include: protective behaviours, healthy relationships, online safety and bullying, mental health, basic first aid, emergency numbers, and road safety
  • Secondary school topics include: mental health, substance abuse, bullying, healthy relationships, coercive control, homophobia, racism, and consent. 


Tours and Excursions

  • Regional Primary School Tours. A state-wide service to ensure WA country children don’t miss out on important safety education.
  • Remote Schools Media Program. Where remote and regional students explore and develop solutions to challenging youth issues through creative filmmaking processes.
  • Safety School: Road Safety Education Program WA. An outdoor excursion at an experiential learning centre in Maylands for primary school students addressing road safety.
  • City After Dark Tour. Led by a WA Police Officer, the evening walking tour is designed for secondary school students, tertiary students and community youth groups to gain knowledge, skills and confidence to stay safe when venturing out in the city at night.
