      ‘Brain stories’ is a concept of developing tools to understand and communicate the way that substance abuse and mental health affect the brain and behaviour for Indigneous people.  This site contains a range of flip charts and animations. 

      Friendz Comic (Inception Strategies)

      Friendz is a social comic that explores relationships between people and how these relationships can influence alcohol and substance use.

      Mental Health Commission of WA

      The Mental Health Commission offers a range of culturally secure resources for Aboriginal people, including information on injecting drug use and blood-borne viruses.

      A portal full of information and videos for young people to manage mental health, drugs, sex, bullying, work, health and body image.

      Youth Legal Service Inc

      Youth Legal Service provides free professional legal services to children and young people (under 25 years) residing in Western Australia. This site contains a number of factsheets on legal issues related to alcohol and drugs and sex.

      Links to a range of pamphlets about sexual health and blood-borne viruses produced for Aboriginal consumers.  

      Dr YES

      Dr YES (youth education sessions) is a program run by the Australian Medical Association where medical students go out to metropolitan and rural high schools to have open and engaging communications about the big issues facing youth health - particularly alcohol and drugs, mental health and sexual health. A Teachers' Guidebook can be found on the website. 

      Freedom Centre

      Freedom Centre is run by young people for young people to provide support and information about sexual and mental health. Volunteers and staff are people who are also young and LGBTIQ or have an otherwise diverse sexuality and/or gender and are trained to be able to give support and information to their peers. The site contains a range of useful resources including You're Not Alone (a booklet for youth who have just realised they are LGBTIQ) and Someone You Love (a booklet for family and friends of LGBTIQ youth). 

      Get the Facts (WA Health) 

      This website gives young people in WA advice and accurate information on relationships and safer sex. The site contains information pages, interactive games and a confidential 'ask a question' feature.  

      Growing and Developing Healthy Relationships (WA Health) 

      Growing and Developing Health Relationships (GDHR) website is designed to support and assist Western Australian teachers, school nurses and schools to provide positive and comprehensive relationships and sexual health education. A range of learning activities are available to download. 

      Having a Baby (WA Health)

      This site contains articles about having a baby, including what to consider before becoming pregnant, pregnancy and birth, and after your baby is born.

      Healthy WA STI information

      This site contains information for consumers about STIs, including prevention, signs and symptoms, testing and treatment.  

      Hitnet

      Hitnet aims to empower marginalised communities by co-creating and disseminating culturally targeted information through an evolving digital eco-system. On this website you can try out the Community Hub which contains a number of interactive sexual health and blood-borne virus modules.    

      Sexual Health Quarters (SHQ)

      SHQ provides a comprehensive range of clinical, counselling, educational and training activities around sexual and reproductive health. This site contains information sheets and brochures, as well as information on how SHQ can support schools to deliver relationships and sexuality education.

      The Only Way Out Is In (Open Doors Youth Service Inc) 

      This resource is aimed at young people who are questioning or starting to explore their sexuality, and those who are starting to explore and challenge their physical gender.

      HepatitisWA (Inc) is a non-profit community-based organisation providing free services to the community. HepatitisWA aims to assist in obtaining the best possible care and support for people affected by hepatitis, reducing discrimination and stigma directed at people living with viral hepatitis and raising community awareness in relation to hepatitis. The website contains educational resources that can be ordered.
