The Australian Medical Association of Western Australia (AMA WA) Dr Yes project sends specially trained volunteer medical students into high schools to have frank, open discussions on topics concerning youth health including sexual health. Enquiries can be made through dryes@amawa.com.au
Family Planning NSW
Provides reproductive and sexual health services throughout NSW. Includes a section for teachers.
Family Planning Tasmania
Family Planning Tasmania provides expert sexual and reproductive health services. Non-judgemental and caring clinical services for all, and education programs for professionals and people of all stages of life. They are vocal advocates for sexual and reproductive health rights and community awareness. They offer the following services: clinical services, education consultancy and advice, advocacy, health promotion, accurate and up-to-date information and resources.
Family Planning Victoria (FPV)
Provides reproductive and sexual health services throughout Victoria. Includes a section on school programs.
Family Planning Welfare Association of Northern Territory (FPWNT)
A non-profit Australian Organisation, which aims to promote sexual health and rights for everyone in the Northern Territory of Australia. Offers all people safe and confidential access to reproductive and sexual health services, education and information. Specialise in advice and care on contraception, pregnancy, medical abortion, cervical screening, sexually transmitted infections, menopause, general sexual health issues plus more.
Sexual Health and Blood-borne Virus Program
The WA Department of Health - Sexual Health and Blood-borne Virus Program (SHBBVP) provides sexual health information and resources for the community, health professionals and educators. Funds service providers to deliver free and low cost education sessions, professional development, clinical appointments, testing and treatment. All SHBBVP hardcopy resources (posters, pamphlets, etc) can be bulk ordered for free in WA by setting up a free account at doh.getquickmail.com. Email shbbvp@health.wa.gov.au for individual copies.
Sexual Health and Family Planning ACT
Provides reproductive and sexual health services throughout the ACT. Includes schools education programs, training and workshops.
Sexual Health Quarters (SHQ)
Sexual Health Quarters (SHQ) provides a comprehensive range of clinical, counselling, educational and training activities around sexual and reproductive health. Services include: STI testing, unplanned pregnancy counselling, contraception counselling, professional development, education sessions. SHQ can partner with your school to deliver RSE sessions on: respectful relationships, diversity in sex, gender and sexual identity, bodies and reproductive systems, safer sex and STIs, contraception, unintended pregnancy, sexting and porn, and more.
SHINE SA (Family Planning South Australia)
Family Planning South Australia is a not-for-profit provider of comprehensive reproductive, sexual health and relationship wellbeing services. SHINE SA’s service and education delivery model works to provide sexual health education, early intervention, health promotion, clinical services and therapeutic counselling. SHINE SA provides nurse-led and medical clinical assessment, treatment and counselling services. Drop-in clinics provide free responsive access to young people under the age of 30.
The Relationships and Sexuality Education Project
The RSE Project provides a wide variety of professional development opportunities to anyone working in Western Australian schools. This includes two-day workshops, after-school seminars, webinars, symposiums and tertiary education units. We cover a broad range of topics, all related to relationships and sexuality education (RSE).
