Safer sex
People 1st Programme
The People 1st Programme (PIP) supports people with an intellectual disability in human relationships, protective education and sexuality, along with parents, carers and service providers. Services are available in the Perth metropolitan area and regional WA.
Sexual Health and Family Planning ACT
Provides reproductive and sexual health services throughout the ACT. Includes schools education programs, training and workshops.
SHQ (Sexual Health Quarters)
SHQ provides a comprehensive range of clinical, counselling, educational and training activities around sexual and reproductive health. Services include: STI testing, unplanned pregnancy counselling, contraception counselling, professional development, education sessions. SHQ can partner with your school to deliver RSE sessions on: respectful relationships, diversity in sex, gender and sexual identity, bodies and reproductive systems, safer sex and STIs, contraception, unintended pregnancy, sexting and porn, and more.
Youth Educating Peers (YEP) Project
The Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia's (YACWA) YEP Crew support and educate young people in relationships, sexual health and blood-borne virus issues. They run a variety of interactive workshops for young people that run from 45 min to 1.5 hours and are led by peer educators. Topics include: respectful relationships and consent; STIs and BBVs; contraception; gender and sexuality; the technosexual world; sex and the law.
