Youth Educating Peers (YEP) Project (Sexual Health)

The Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia's (YACWA) Youth Educating Peers (YEP) Project aims to support and educate young people on relationships, sexual health and blood-borne virus issues. The YEP Project works in partnership with the WA youth sector and young people, with a key focus being the use of peer education as a youth participation and health promotion strategy.

YEP can provide free presentations and workshops to the youth sector, or those supporting young people, across WA. YEP also has some capacity to deliver other fee-for-service trainings.

Professional development offerings are typically delivered face-to-face within a 90 minute drive from the Perth CBD, or online options are available.

Length of professional development varies.

  • healthy relationships

  • consent

  • Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and Blood-Borne Viruses (BBVs) and testing
